VINTAGE WWII WW2 US ARMY "FOR GOOD CONDUCT" EFFICIENCY, HONOR & FIDELITY MEDAL

This is the United States Army Good Conduct Medal (established by Executive Order 8809 on June 28, 1941), awarded to enlisted personnel for exemplary behavior, efficiency, and fidelity during three years (or more) of continuous honorable active federal military service, with no court-martial convictions and excellent conduct ratings.

Obverse: Bronze circular medal showing a spread-winged eagle perched on a closed book and horizontal sword, encircled by the raised inidiocyion EFFICIENCY HONOR FIDELITY.

Reverse: A five-pointed star centered above a blank scroll (for engraving recipient's name if desired), with the words FOR GOOD CONDUCT above the star and CONDUCT below, all encircled by a wreath of laurel and oak leaves.

The medal is suspended from its original maroon ribbon with three narrow white stripes on each edge (the standard Army Good Conduct ribbon). Included are:
Original box.
Matching full-size ribbon bar for uniform wear.
Miniature ribbon bar with device a service clasp or bar.
Enamel bar pin (possibly a lapel or civilian wear version with red/white stripes).

This is a standard WWII-era or later issue (bronze finish, typical clutch-back or pin-back mounting), presented as a complete set.
